Casual Gaming: Hidden Objects

I love simple PC games.  My favorite kind of game is the type where you have to search for hidden objects.  One of the best things about these kinds of games is that they are often themed after popular movies, television shows, or books.

I find myself spending hours at a time playing these games, and they never seem to get old to me.  I will often sit on my couch with my laptop and play these games while watching my favorite television shows during my relaxation time.

My favorite of them all is probably The Treasures of Mystery Island.  I have been playing that game for months now, and I am still getting new puzzles to try and solve.

I know that with the rise in game technology and the new generation of systems that are coming out that most gamers tend to enjoy the more fast-paced games with superb graphics.  I don’t need all of that stuff, though.  For me, these simple hidden objects games are all I need.

I suppose that means that I am not a hardcore gamer.  That’s fine.  I don’t need the super advanced games in order to enjoy myself.  Just give me a simple game where I have to find certain objects on a screen, and I’ll be content for hours.

The best part about these kinds of games is that they are typically free.  So, while others are spending hundreds or even thousands of dollars for the purpose of gaming, I get all the gaming I want for free just by virtue of owning a laptop (which I need, anyway).

If you’ve never taken the time to play these kinds of games, I highly recommend it.  Even if you don’t enjoy them as much as I do, they are free, so you have nothing to lose.
